Nigel the Nano

Thanks to my cute husband, I am now the proud owner of an adorable nano. And thanks to my dear sister Annie, I am now tagged (ipod style). Here is the deal: I have to list the first 10 songs that come up when I play my ipod in shuffle mode without cheating, which makes me pretty nervous since I have a lot of weird guilty pleasures, but here goes:

1. "I've Got No Strings" from Disney's Pinnochio (oh no...already embarrassing...come on guys, I teach fourth grade, I have to have some kid-worthy music right?)

2. "Summer" by Dashboard Confessional

3. "We are Family" by Sister Sledge (such a weird array of music already)

4. "Do You Wanna Dance" by the Beach Boys

5. "Shackled" by Vertical Horizon

6. "Kill" by Jimmy Eat World (I don't believe I have ever listened to this before...very weird)

7. "If I Never Knew You" from Disney's Pocahontas...oh dear

8. "Everything" by Michael Buble

9. "Runaway" by Avril Lavigne

10. "When the Sand Runs Out" by Rascal Flatts

Well, this has been quite the eye-opener. I need to go through my music and put good stuff on this thing...it is very cluttered. However, it was fun to see all these interesting choices I have. Hope you enjoyed it. I now tag Ashlee, Jessica, Melinda, Staci, and Sami.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I would just like to announce that Valentine's Day is now officially one of my favorite holidays ever. It has not always been that way...Bryce and I have had our share of unlucky Valentine's celebrations in our dating life...but this Valentine's day beat all. First of all, he surprised me while I was in the midst of trying to calm my fourth graders down off of their sugar high :). He brought me the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers, even remembering to include flowers that were in my wedding bouquet. Then, we both ditched class that evening and exchanged gifts. He completely spoiled me, so he is in big trouble. I gave him a few sentimetal and homemade items that were probably more fun for me to make than for him to receive. After that, we went to Tuacano's (our fav) for an incredible dinner. Although it was not exactly conducive to my diet, it was worth it! He even had them put out candles and a tablecloth. He's the best husband in the world! After dinner, we just enjoyed a night of watching chick flicks and enjoying a night away from school. It was the greatest. I am sure that I married the greatest man out there. I am so lucky!

Tag...we're it!

Thanks Annie for tagging us. This one looks like a lot of fun. So...here goes, Mandi and Bryce:

What is his name? Bryce William Winkelman

How long have you been together? 8 years now :) Married for 1.5...dating/friends for 6.5

How long did you date? according to Bryce: 1 year, according to me: 6.5 years

How old his he? 22...just a young buck

Who eats more? although I eat a ton, it would be nigh unto impossible to eat more than Bryce

Who said I love you first? Bryce did, in a Christmas card when we were both 16. Wait...he also said it out loud first about 3 months later (it was only written until then :))

Who is taller? Bryce by about 3 inches

Who can sing better? Well, Bryce is the rapper, I am the singer. We are like basically P-Diddy and Fergie.

Who is smarter? Business and street smarts=Bryce, Math smart=Mandi...Bryce's is way better.

Who does the laundry? We are both the laundry doers in our house...it just depends on who is more busy that week. I feel so lucky to have such a helpful husband.

Who pays the bills? We split them up pretty evenly. Lately though, Bryce has taken over more and more of it.

Who sleeps on the right side? Bryce does...but I am a sprawler so I pretty much take up the whole bed.

Who mows the lawn? Bryce does...dear soul. I could if I wanted to...but he is just so nice that he does it.

Who cooks dinner? Once again, it depends on who is busier. I love to cook, but if I have a test or parent teacher conferences or something, Bryce is great to take care of it. Also, if Bryce is really busy, I do it.

Who is more stubborn? We are both out of control stubborn...I would truthfully say it is a tie.

Who kissed who first? It was Bryce for sure. I had given up on him kissing me anytime before 2006...but it was a miracle...he kissed me in 2002 instead.

Who asked who out first? Bryce did...the day I turned 16 he took me to TGIFridays for some tasty soup.

Who proposed? It was Bryce...and I'm so happy he did.

Who has more friends? I am more in touch with friends than Bryce is. However, Bryce is for sure better at making friends than I am. He is the most popular in our ward for sure.

Who is more sensitive? Definitely me (Annie...I've decided we are much too similar! :)) Bryce has to put up with a LOT of sensitivity.

Who has more siblings? I do, but only by 1.

Who wears the pants? We have decided that we both wear one leg...it's more like a skort :). The house is pretty equally run.

There you have it :) I hope you enjoyed this funny intro. to us. Now I tag: Ashlee, Sami, Jessica, Melinda, Rachele, and Staci.
